BLM Technologies Manages 185-Branch Digital Signage Project for Major U.S. Financial Institution

September 16, 2019

Minneapolis – September 16, 2019 – BLM Technologies, a leading single-source provider of complete technology solutions, today announced the successful phase one completion of a large digital signage project for one of the largest banks in the U.S.  BLM Technologies acted as general manager of this end-to-end digital signage project, which initially outfitted 185 branches of the banks across the country with state-of-the-art digital kiosks that position the bank as a leader in customer communications. BLM Technologies oversaw the work from start to finish, with additional components, such as sound masking, being added over time.

The dual display kiosks, consistent across all 185 bank branches, act as the first line of communications when a customer enters the bank. With messaging ranging from welcome messages to new bank offerings to updates, the approximately 3’ x 6-1/2’ kiosks are designed to be simple, efficient, and friendly. The installation of the kiosks, however, was far from simple: BLM Technologies estimates it takes 16 man-hours to build and install each kiosk, 3 of which are required to set up each machine in a bank branch.

The bank headquarters location added a special feature:  a 165” curved Direct View LED wall, displayed through the massive front window and facing a busy downtown street.

As a company that specializes in overseeing projects of all types, BLM Technologies leverages its expertise with video walls, multi-screen solutions, and equipment integrations to ensure each installation is seamless.

“We partnered with Peerless AV, the company that created and produces these kiosks, and I can attest to the fact that they are highly sophisticated devices that require the utmost in oversight during transportation and installation,” said John Peterson, Vice President of Technology Sales at Innovative sales – Digital Signage Solutions. “BLM Technologies came in with confidence from day one, with the knowledge and experience needed to oversee this huge project. BLM handled all the details and allows us to concentrate on making sure each kiosk is perfect—something highly valuable to us.”

In addition to its experience in overseeing digital signage projects such as this, BLM Technologies has a legacy of working with financial institutions. The company maintains longstanding, successful relationships with 9 of the 10 largest banks in the country, built over the last 45 years. BLM Technologies understands the intricacies of complex organizations, particularly financial institutions, and in particular knows how to navigate through and adhere to a financial institution’s stringent security details.

“I’m delighted to witness the success of this sizable and complex project, which is still in process,” said Kevin Flaherty, President and CEO of BLM Technologies. “This has been a large and complex project to oversee, but we have a dedicated team and incredible partners that have made this a rewarding experience. I’m proud of the entire team, and thrilled this bank can claim its rightful place as a leader in state-of-the-art customer communications.”
